transmission shift kit help?

im lookin at a gettin a shift kit from truckperformance.com and dont know which transmission i have. I am told the my 99 v8 has the 4rw70 or somethin like that, but the only options they have on their website are: AOD, AODE, C4,C6,and E40d. Do i have one of these transmissions. Like is my 4rw70 a version of an AODE? thanks for any help, Bob

A 4R70W is an AODE-W, or a wide ratio AODE. As for electronics and stuff, I'm not sure, but check the code on the side of the door. Mine is U, but I'm not sure as I don't feel like walking outside this time of night. What shift kit are you using, the JET?

I'm using the B&M Shift+ Electronic Shift Kit as it was inexpensive, and I wasn't planning on using it for long, especially if the Hypertech Power Programmer III shift firmess control is any good.

yeah...i am looking at gettin the JET. Its a combination electronic controlled module, as well as an actual transmission parts upgrade. Its somewhere around 200 i think.
