I have a 96 Explorer sport automatic it has about 121K on it and the gears shift a bit hard on it and there is a jerk everytime gears shift but it has been doing this for 6 months now. The car runs fine, gives great gas mileage the rpms and the speed is also fine. Also I have not noticed any odd noises when the car runs. I have also noticed that if I let the car warm up for 5-10 min the jerks are not as significant. I also dont know when the tranny was flushed last cos I got the car when it had 108K on it.
So shld I get this checked or is this a common problem with explorers cos I dont want to be stranded in middle of no where. Any information will be more then welcome (this is my first automatic so dont really know much). Thanks in advance.
