Transmission Shifting kinda Rough...

2001 Exp. Sport Trac; 4wd, 145k miles....
I just had the trans fluid and filter changed... probably hasn't been done for about 60k miles.
Anyway, now when shifting gears (in Drive) it seems to stall a bit and sometimes jerk a bit. I checked the fluid and it has the right amount, etc.

Anyone else experience this on high mileage tranny? Will it get any better w/ time?

What was the condition of your transmission fluid? Burnt, dirty?

I recommend getting it hooked up to a good scanner. Also you want to pay close attention to your torque converter clutch system operation. But probably the first thing I would do is pull the negative battery cable for a bit. Sounds wacky but that alone has alleviated many problems for others. And if I understand you correctly, you had the work done at a garage, so you should take it back to them immediately.
