Hi, I have a 2005 Lincoln Avaitor with a 5r55s 4x4 transmission. I’ve had battery disconnected for a while while working on truck. When putting in gear, there is delay until moves. No slipping, just delay. Is the solenoid pack bad or does it just need to relearn ? Previous owner pulled under hood fuse that had something to do with it and wondering if damaged. Ideas ? Thanks

Hi to my understanding it is most likely that you have debris in passages of the solenoid pack or in the valve body. I don't know if it is worth to change those parts because they are expensive and it is not certain that it will fix the problem. In this forum people usually recommend a fluid and filter chang (drop pan method, not a flush). Also there is a risk that you do harm to your transmission if the fluid is black and smells burned but the drop the pan method should be fine.
