Transmission troubles

Hey all. I have am 02 xlt explorer with the v6 5r55w auto trans 4x4. Put a transmission in and drove for one day. Next morning it wasn't acting righr. Hesitates going into any gear and falls out of gear when i stop. Any ideas?

Low on fluid more than likely. Did you reboot computer?

Disconnected battery during entire process of removal/installation amd afterwards hooked scanner up to clear any codes. Ran good for a day amd now acting up with no trouble codes

Fluid level is low. How many quarts did you put in at install?

I'm wanting to say around 10. It's got the goofy fill plug on bottom and they say to add until a steady stream is coming out amd that's what i did. Is it possible thete os too much?

That will hold close to 12 quarts when dry. It has to be warm when checking fluid.

Was the transmission cooler and lines flushed before install?
