transmission - valve body or full replace?

2010 explorer 4.0 with 5r55s

only seems to hit 3rd gear - nothing in D, R, but putting it in 3rd it will drive

fluid level is good

recommend a full replace at this point or can that be just valve body?

Common issue is the pressure relief valve in the front pump.

Some times the 5R55S has a problem with the overdrive sprag one way bearing.
And it has always problems with worn out servo bores.
Maybe the solenoid pack makes trouble,
so i think not only a valve body change would fix your problem.
Sorry for the bad news, hope you will find a good tranny repair shop.
