Transmission wont shift into overdrive.

My explorer has been sitting for about 2 months. I started driving it again and now it wont shift into overdrive.

Just to be clear: Do you mean that it will drive and shift just fine 1-3, but never shifts into 4th gear? Or do you mean that it works just fine in D, but doesn't engage at all in OD?

Im having the same problem, My 91 ranger works just fine in D but it acts like it is in neutral when it trys to go into O/D
