Ok, after I clay barred and waxed the vehical, I get these little brown sap spots all over the hood.

Is there anyway to remove these spots without having to use the clay bar again? Is there a special cleaner or wax that would work without having to spend all day scrubbing these spots off? I was hoping that waxing the paint would make this problem easier to clean up.

BTW, great idea on using car soap as a lubricant. Im almost out of the Quick Detailer stuff:rolleyes:

goo gone? not sure though... most of hte time, when you use a product that removes gummy buildups, it also removes wax....

The claybar will work the best, and you may not have to rewax afterwards if you go that way.

You could also try some quick detailer if the sap is fresh.

Use bug and tar remover for the last resort. I'll be doing that because my truck is literally covered with tar. I hate driving at construction zones but I must go through them.

Nu-Finish Polish in the liquid form works great.

Mayonnaise. I know this works great for removing sap from your hands so I assume it would work on paint. Try a little spot to make sure it doesn't damage the paint. I don't see why it would unless left on. Let us know what you figure out!

Try a little mineral spirits or denatured alcohol on a cloth-. They wiil take off any wax also, so follow with clay and a wax.
