Out of curiosity, I would also see what the Oil Life Monitor shows.
Peter
It won't really help but might show if there was a general lack of attention paid to detail. If neither trip odometer was reset, perhaps the OLM might be sitting at 0%.Out of curiosity, how is the OLM gonna help?
Yeah tires should give you a good indication as well
That's like 8500 miles a month if it was on the road for 6 months if it does have 50K miles...
That is what I mean when I say it sounds bogus. I can buy 4,000 miles a month, we have some company vehicles that run that many. But 8,000 to 9,000 miles a month is totally bogus. So something is not right with this post.
It does seem that something is not right with this post, but I can tell you that I have a brother in law that averages a little over 11,000 miles a month on his Toyota Tundra. It's how he makes a living. Down here, we call what he does "Hot Shot driving". He makes a run everyday hauling oilfield equipment, chemicals, whatever he can fit in his truck.
If the Explorer that the OP has was used for say, medical organ transportation, it could be possible for it to have 40 - 50 thousand miles on it, but highly unlikely.
Just saying!![]()
......It seems amateurish that one could possess the technology to circumvent the odometer, yet not have the smarts to push and hold the reset button to erase the trip meters...QUOTE]My thoughts exactly. Happy holidays.
Peter
Do the trip readings go over 10k? I don't think I ever reset my Trip 2 and it says ~9700 miles. The odometer is running up close to 20k, so it appears that the trip readings only go to 10k and reset. Thoughts?
