I have a 2007 4.6l EXP ST
Engine Temp guage fluctuates and I have the P1285 trouble code
Checked coolant and it was low, so I added. no problem for a week or two then started again. went back got the same code. bought the CHT sensor.
Cant find any videos to show how to replace it.
do I need to take the intake off or not. Don't have the tools to remove the intake, but may try it if all I have to do is take the alternator off to get to the CHT.
Can someone send the link to a good video on replacing the CHT?
Also, I did see that some coolant was pushed out and the coolant level was low again when I wen to the trouble code the 2nd time.
