ok heres my problem: i have a small 4x8 trailer i wired my self with lots of lights. so i couldnt go with a regualr 4-plug. i had it wired for a while but since i got my explorer i want to be able to pull the trailer with mine. its been wired for my moms X since i got it. i just hook wire for wire its not standard way to wire since i have all lights no brakes etc. ok i just got done switching the plugs over. i have a 6 round and 4 round. but i went to RV-7 plug (have 6wires+ground) my moms X has tow package so i got the thing to plug in and choped the plug off and ran the bare wires to the 7 as well as others. works great. now mine dont have tow pakage (last guy got thing with the plugs that go in tail lights etc. and tail light converter - pulled small trailer with bumper ball) ok i got mine hook uup and no power to trailer. turns out bad ground. the ground was off the thing for tail light converter so i left it and added another ground and spliced the two. ok now it works. but i have 2 PROBLEMS
1. all running lights etc go a bit dim when u use lights (when 4ways are on the running lights get a tiny bit dim)
2. the brown running light wire is hot all the time lol. truck is off key out and still hot.

any help is appreciated. thanks alot

Those converter boxs dont last forever. I know of two people who have had to replace them after 2 or 3 years. I would start there.

would that be both problems? and it still puzzles me y the running light wire is always hot. i know i had to replace the hot wire from battery that went to the converter box maybe running light wire is crosses with that?
