truck broken into... need to replace window

I need to replace a window on my passengers front door... how would I go about it...

Well, if you have insurance.. they'll cover it (unless you don't have that coverage on your insurance).

we have coverage, but they don't know I'm teh primary driver 540miles away from home... so It's gunna be out of pocket...

what I really need now that I've had more time to think about it is general years of explorer where the window was the same and perhaps years of ranger where it was the same...

also some glass replacement tips...

might still want to check into it. Could always say the vehicle is not "normally" there. Maybe.....your parents dropped it off to you for 2 weeks so you could come home for thanksgiving.

Reguardless of who the primary is you are still covered as long as the vehicle had that coverage when the accident and in your case, break in happened.

will a 91 windows fit in a 96? he junk yard had a 91 but they sort the stuff by year not by what it will fit... I have a feeling there's too much of a diffrence...

there has to be somewhere in the UP I can find a cheap window...

my car is in my dad's name and it is his insurance policy. I am listed as a driver (along with 3 other sisters and my mom) on that policy and have made claims on 4 break-ins while having the car at school.

are you saying you are an uninsured driver?


Edit: Sorry to get off track from your question. Was sitting here thinking about my responses and deteremined it wasn't anything you wanted to hear. Can't help you with the window fitment but was trying to help you from having to pay out of the pocket. Good luck with getting it fixed.

ok once more... my parents who own the vehical (althought it was my money that paid for it) and who pay the insureance said no to claiming the window or the stolen items on the insureance...

I would have liked to get some ideas before now... but unfortunately tommorrow is the last day I can get teh window so it can be installed on saturday... this way if I have pproblems the guy at the auto glass place said I could get help if I needed it on mondy... or if I can't find glass I can get it ordered on mondy so it can come in on tuesday and be installed on wednessday so I can go home (540 miles) on friday...
