I just got a 2000 Explorer XLT 4.0 SOHC yesterday from the auction, and it has an issue that I need help with.
The issue is a pretty severe shake under throttle. The shake is present at all speeds and gets more intense/faster as the truck goes faster. When I let off of the gas it is almost non-existent. The whole truck seems to shake.
From a dead stop under full throttle the truck makes squealing sounds until about 10-15 mph (Squuuueeeaaaak squueeaak squeak) <- imagine that
It sounded like something was binding up.
So... I know it can be a lot of things, but I am wondering where I should start? Has anyone encountered something similar?
