- 2001 Explorer Sport Trac
I'm working on a 2001 Ford Sport Trac. It's been setting for about 6 yrs. When I tried to crank it started and ran for about 30 seconds then stopped. I checked the fuel presure and discovered that the gas had a really bad smell to it. Isted of removing the tank, I "sypoered" out 10 gal of bad gas. I also removed the "valve stem" from the fuel rail. I would turn on the key and it would pump out for about 4-5 sec. of gas. Got tired of doing that and decided to remove the "relay" and "cross over the system.......BIG MISTAKE.......I removed the "PCM Relay" from the fuse box located under the hood. I cross over two wires and it "sparked", fuel pump did not pump. I replaced the relay and now the truck will not do anything. It will not crank over. When I insert the key and try to crank the "scurity light" flashes. Not real fast. I think that the system think I was trying to steal the truck and it went in some type of safe mode,,,,,,,what do I need to do next???????
