I've just spent the last 1.5 hours trying to take out the drain and fill plugs from the T-Case. No Go!! These things are really in there. Anyone know something that i can try to get these loose. And what is the logic behind, not putting a drain plug in the automatic tranny. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have a 1991 and I was fortunate that my fill and drain plugs came out surprisingly easy. They should come out with the aid of a 1/2" socket. Perhaps when the truck was built they forgot to put the coating (I can't think of the proper name) on the plugs when they made the T-case. I don't know if you are the original owner or not, but did the T-case get well used and maybe the bolts are now seized. Try a little liquid wrench and let it soak. Hope this helps and good luck.

As for the abscence of a drain plug in the transmission pan. I've been trying to figure that one out myself. When you drop the pan you only get about 4 liters of T-fluid out, and there is still about 6 liters in there. You might want to consider getting the whole transmission flushed which costs about $80.00 or so.
