you need t omodify a lift kit for the 98+ style explorer..... basically, instead of bolting it on, you have to drill out the rivits holding your torsion bar mounts....

is there not one available from a company? if not why?

There is a superlift available for your year, you dont have to modify one. 4wheelparts.com has them.

I have a 97 XLT 4 door and I'm 15. I am just trying to get it ready and I wanted to know the quickest and easiest way to get 33" tires. I had heard about the Superlift 4 lift but can I get 33" tire with that?

i looked on 4wheelparts.com and i couldnt find anything. if you know where they are in that web site let me know, thanks. do you know of anyother place that has them, and why are these *******s so hard to find!!?!

Go to the Suspension Section and then go to Superlift.

i still cant find a lift for a '96. i just want to be able to get 31'' tires in there and get some more clearance. is there any other thing that i can do to get it off the ground. any suggestions will be great, im a rookie at this.

Get a Performance Accessories #853 3" body lift for the Ranger and make your own bumper brackets from the CAD drawings that can be found on this site. That and a combination of Shackles/Torsion bar twist will let you run 33s.

ok, thanks guys. And Can you tell me exactly how to get to the bumper brackets because I can't find them?

Here they are... The front one is the one that is shown first.
