I was thinking about doing the torsion twist but I read some threads which said that it would stiffen up the ride. My concern is that my ride is already pretty stiff. I have brand new Monroe sensa-trac shocks all round and the energy suspension poly bushing kit for the front swaybar. The shocks stiffened the ride more than I expected. It is good, I am just worried that doing the TT will be too much. Any thoughts?

Also, after doing a TT to gain a max of 2", I read that I would need to add-a-leaf or add shackles. How much would I gain in the back by doing an add-a-leaf? I already have butt sag so I hope more than 2". Also, how much more stiff would an extra leaf be?

And what exactly are shackles??? What would be better for me in this case with my concerns?

Thnx

AAL would be about 1.5 inches shackles would be another 1-1.5 " i only got 1" on my 2001 with shackles

So in my case I will need to get both AAL and shackles? Again, What are shackles? Are they like blocks or something?

Shackles are the little doo hickeys that attach your leaf springs to your frame. The ones that give you the lift are a tad longer than stock. Remember that from my CJ7 days.

Ok, so shackles are those horseshoe shaped bolts. thnx. Does anyone know how much more stiffer the ride will be with an AAL and shackles???

Thnx

The aftermarket shackles are H shaped as they're not half boxed like the stock ones.

The ride won't be too much stiffer, but will be noticable. Most people like it though.
