What size is the Turbo? Is it an OEM?

Ryan

Well, im not sure exactly what size of turbo it is, it came off of a early 90's 5cyl Volvo. Have yet to get a boost gauge to see how much its running but should be picking one up today. Engine management, none right now lol. no fuel cut outs or anything. exhaust manifold. well.... its the stock manifold flipped upside down and welded to lol. Ill post up what the PSI is later today or early this week once I buy a boost gauge

Have you done any motor work?can you post pic of how the exhaust pipes run.and maybe someone can move this to the "need for speed"

Isn't the explorer engine only 150hp to start with?

NICE!!!! maybe u should invest in mildly building another 4.0 get one from a junk yard (so u can drive the one now) put some forged rods and pistons then crank up the psi ahhahaahahah!!!! (evil laugh) back to al seriousness do that you will be much happier with the results but two thumbs up for that.:thumbsup:

cool project! i like seeing things like this. ok, so it might not be the best way of going about it, but it works... for now. lol. i love seeing people that just piece together random stuff that they have. thumbs up, man!

There is no need for forged internals on a 4.0 ohv. Flipped manifold is what i did on my first turbo build works great. Im making some changes now.

i boosted my 93 but...now the exhaust manifolds done that i made is there any manifolds that i can buy??
