Add a relay into the center consol where the relay's trigger wire is activated by an ignition source.

I doubt they installed any option to do that from the factory. But it strikes me that the easiest way to make it work like that would be to install a normal automotive style relay in-line with the circuit(s) supplying the lighter plugs and power outlets. Then simply wire the coil of the relay to any circuit with ignition power such as the radio or something similar. The amount of current the relay will draw will be inconsequential. It would probably take maybe 10-30 min depending on skill level. Those relays are available at any autoparts store for less than $10 and available all over the internet for around $1.
Checkout places like mcmelectronics.com or allelectronics.com

Do you know if all the cigarette lighters run on the same line?

No problem.

Front seat and rear seat power outlets are different circuits. Do you have an owners manual? It will guide you to fuse locations. One underhood and other may be under dash.

I shop for electronics on digikey and allelectronics a lot... if you're *only* going to buy a relay (or 2, in case you happen to mess the first one up).. I'd say buy locally if cheap enough. Allelectronics.com charges $7 shipping, and Digikey wasn't much cheaper. Whenever I order electronics components online, I try to spend enough to justify the shipping :)

I'm going to see what my local car audio shop will charge me to do this. Sound like something up there alley.
