Check out the EE sway bar deal in the Group Purchases section. I think we need about 11 more sign-ups.....?

They are supposed to provide MUCH better handling.

I tested the rear bar on my lifted 96 with 33"s and it helped that truck handle like it was on rails (not quite, but awesome for a lifted truck!). I used the EE rear bar with Warrior quick disconnect endlinks. The front bar works really well also.

I put a rear EE Sway bar on my 2000 Sport and I am very, very happy with the results. It is a cool feeling hitting a corner and feeling the truck stay damn near perfectly flat.

Bump.

I was in on the last group buy and can attest to the great improvements in handling. You won't believe how much beefier the EE sway bars when compared to the stockers.

:bounce:
Bump.

Only need about 6 more sign-ups......

and down the stretch they come.....:D

I'm thinking about signing up for the group purchase. How difficult are they to install? What would it do to the ride quality of my '01 Sport ?

i'm not sure of the install(i'm gonna have mine done professionally) but it does not affect the ride quality whatsoever. that was also my main concern but i was told it does not affect it a bit.

it is very easy to install. if you change your own oil you will have no problem what so ever.
i have it on my sport and i love it.

Count me in! How do we sign up?

go to the group purchases forum and click on ee swaybar group buy.

16 and climbing... c'mon folks, summer's almost over. I hate installing these things in the cold. :)

Installing them is really easy, especially if you have 2 people. It took me about an hour to install both bars by myself. All that's needed are a few simple hand tools.

One thing some people may not have though is the proper size allen wrench needed for the split collets. A set of like 10 is about $10, so no biggie, and they always come in handy.

No, don't buy a cheap socket set. However, inexpensive allen wrench kits are usually ok.

Right. I once bought a chinese breaker bar from AutoZone (Great Neck brand) ...mistake...and it came apart on me once, depositing metal shrapnel in my hand. Now, older and wiser, I buy Craftsman tools. I would buy Snap-On or something like that but Craftsman is good enough and easily accessible (at a local Sears) for me.

Alec, have you always been a moderator? BM just became one last night. Who else got promoted?

I think about 2 years?
