'93 Explorer 4.0
I just can't believe the performance from my '93 XLT. I bought it in Ireland and drove it down through France and Spain with only a small problem of the gear box oil overheating and pouring out. Loaded it up with over half a ton of freshly picked olives for the co-op and it sailed up a 45 degree incline of about 200 meters which had about 5 inches of fresh mud. I had to take two attempts at the incline, but I couldn't be more delighted with the Explorer.

It's good to hear from a European Explorer owner! The Explorer is such an American vehicle, I tend to forget that they were also sold over the pond. Glad to hear its useful to you.

Those 1st generation Explorers are the classic/original SUVs just about. Keep it running!

Ok- 1,000 lbs. of olives? That's a new one! :D

Glad you like your Ex!
