Has anyone made any modification to lower under hood temperature?

yes Al, I have

LMAO.

I turn the engine off for a while :)

Remove all or part of the fender liners
Run cold air ducts from grill to underhood

Wrap/ceramic coat the exhaust
cowl hood and or louvers in the hood

Anything that gets the hot air out = good.
You can also dro pthe engine coolant and oil temps, this helps ALOT as long as you dont ruin the computers ability to enter open loop.

Secret heat dissapating system:)
