Undercarriage Clanging

I have a 2000 Ford Explorer XLT. There is a loud, hollow clanging noise (metalic) that occurs when going over bumps. From what I can tell, it is coming from the rear of the undercarriage. I have had the muffler and suspension checked. Everything was fine. There are no visible loose parts. I don't know where to go next. If anyone has any ideas or has had this type of problem before, I would appreciate your suggestions.

It's quite possible you have one or more worn body mounts.
