- `92 Ford Explorer XLT
I have been reading posts from everyone on everything that you should and should not do to your explorer and what works and what flops so I decided to give you my experience with my mods. I have a 92 Explorer and the first thing wasn I tried some retreads from Treadwright Tires. I called the order in for 4 30x9.50x15`s. The person I talked to was very nice and the tires arrived within 2 weeks{took longer because I wanted BF Goodrich skins} They have been superior so far. it did`nt take much to balance which some thought they would because of retreads and the ride like a dream. Next was a flowmaster 40 catback and A+ on that. it has been on 2 weeks but is already getting a nice growl to it. Then came the KKM Sport Induction Kit which took 30 min to put on mainly because i am very picky and wanted it to set just right. Then there was the BBK throttle body and took 15 min on that. Had to set the idle up alittle but that was it. The biggest notice was after the BBK. Very noticeable improvement in throttle response. It will set you back from a start and not as much later on but still noticeable. i did`nt put all on at once, wanted to see how each one worked. I still have my diamond crystals to go in yet along with a 2" suspension lift. After eveything so far my explorer has been improved, nothing earthshattering but has raised my friends eyebrows{especially taking off from a stop light} I would give eveything an A++ so far and I want to thank everyone for all their input on all the products. I would say Serious Explorations upgraded my Explorer. Thanks again
