I've had a few questions on throttle bodies for the 5.0L explorers that have been dying for answers. First, what is the stock TB size for the explorers? Second, is there anything Ford uses factory that is considered an upgrade for the 5.0L explorers or are my only options aftermarket TB's? A friend of mine has a 93 5.0L LX Mustang and was considering buying an aftermarket TB for and I was curious if this was something I could swipe for my explorer, as I was typing this I realized that there would be an EECIV and OBD2 difference in that case but if there is anything out there I'm curious to know. Wow, that was a long run on sentence.

I've got a 5.0. Never seen an aftermarket offering for the Explorer. I ended up with a ported/polished OEM TB from a guy on eBay. Seemed to make a slight difference. The guy does nice work.

Mustang TBs don't swap right in. You might be able to mod something to make one work. Not sure if it's worth the hassle or if you'd see much of a benefit.
