Upgrading to the new 2023 Sync display

There is a newer display designed for Sync 4 available now from a few sellers. This 8.46" screen fits perfectly in the Explorer and works with Sync versions 3.4 and higher. The display is crisper than the Sync 3 displays and the resolution is 1334 x 882 instead of 800x480. I ordered mine here and it took about a week to arrive - 2023 New Ford 8.46 inch Sync3 & Sync4 Touchscreen

Doesn't the bezel around the screen chop off the extra 0.46in screen display?

No, even though the display is slightly bigger the actual area that shows up is about the same size. The main difference is the higher pixel density, which is noticeable to me. I noticed it also dims gradually instead of steps when adjusting the brightness.
