upper ball joint

hi all
i have just got my upper ball joint out of the box and have looket at the unit on the truck ,on the truck it has a pinch bolt and on the top of the ball joint a C clip the replacement one just has a nut and split pin , is the one on the truck the ford part and the one to replace it has a nut , am i right the truck is a 92 hope i am making sence , a quick look the ball joint is the right lenght . any help please

ps will be fitting lower as well and manual hubs

the upper ball joint for a 92 should not have a nut,the lower is the one with the nut.Are you doing both?

taking out the pinch bolt does help a little with removal.But I have learned not everyone does it.
