urgent question

Would replacing my front coil springs on my 2wd '92 xlt with bigger coils from a ranger or any other truck w/ bigger springs lift my front end or does it have to be explorer springs. I really need the few extra inches in the front and im trying to figure out the best way of doing so...thanks

WHile I beleive they will work you can ONLY lift the front end of a 1st gen 2"s before you need new droped axle pivot brakets. You can get about the same lift by just putting on a set of f-150 spacker (lower spring seats from 2wd mid 90's f-150). Do a search to make sure ranger coils will work but i'm thinking they do, but they might be softer than expo springs...but i don't know that for sure.
