Using Brown Wire Mod

:confused:Question........I did the brown wire mod on my 96 Explorer, manual trans. Since the transfer case was designed to work "On Demand" would turning on the clutch magnet to run it full time damge the TC while in snow or off road? Seems to me that using it this way would put undo stress on it.
 






From what i have researched and understand no.

Now dry pavement or just wep pavement, yes, but that is with all T-cases. Make sure you are offroad dirt, nsow, mud
 






Ditto. I haven't heard of any long-term ill-effects from using the BWM to manually lock the case. The current draw through the the transfer case clutch coil is the same whether in 4auto or when manually locked in 4high, so I can't see it making any difference.
