you don't have a v-belt, you have a serpentine belt, and if its squeeling, your belt tensioner may be dying, an inexpensive part, or it make be something else. I'd start with the tensioner, and if it keeps squeeling, use a screwdriver against your ear with the motor running(holding it against the various places the belt goes) and see where its coming from.

it could be they used the wrong belt...good luck

Although it is not a definitive fix, a trial of "Belt Dressing" which is a spray can solution that increases friction might provide enough assistance. However, if you paid for a service that was not completed correctly, I'd simply go back and demand it be done correctly.

Other considerations may be bad bearings on one or more accessories- causing a belt slip.

I would never spray anything on the belt.

As mentioned above, the belt tensioner could be the culprit as well as the idler pulley. Then look at the accessory pulleys ( alternator, AC, PS, etc ).

Good luck ....

Took car to work mon, squealing like a pig, left it all week as i drive to Germany most weeks, drove it home quiet as a mouse.Ford recon sticking tensioner.

Actually on V belts, belt dressing works pretty good
