v8 5.0 engine explorer on 240sx

Next time maybe keep the mas, efi, DIS, and obd-ii computer? LOL
OBD-ii tuning has come a LONG way recently

my car had a 4L engine... and for the electronics i have a megasquirt II v3 computer and i am looking for a big tbi (670 cfm or more) to do conversion.

and another question... what i need to replace when cam e303 is installed? only a cam or head springs too?

E 303 cam uses 1.6 ratio rockers which your stock heads have

You SHOULD replace the springs in order to take full advantage of your new E cam
I wsent ahead and installed new FMS 1.6 roller tip rockers and new springs

I should have also replaced my pushrods and lifters, so now I have to go back in there (some lifter noise)

E cam is OKAY but there are likely better cam choices for your Z car
pictures of my e cam install are in my 96 daily driver thread, in my signature

TBI? oh man I HATE TBI, but thats just me
direct injecton is the only way to go!

im running a manual tranny with five speeds plus reverse.

i dont know what things i need to change if i change cam.

yesterday i read something like changing stock rocker arms for roller rocker arms to be able for 6000 rpms

With a cam swap, I'd change the valve springs for sure. The stock ones aren't good for much higher lift than stock and won't handle high RPM either. You can get roller rocker arms if you want to spend the money. They aren't necessary, but do help. When you get the new cam in, you should check the push rod length. Most mild lift cams can still use the stock push rods, but change them if necessary.

On your combo, another thing I'd change is the carb. A 600-650 cfm carb is plenty for a stock displacement 5.0L with fairly small heads and a mild cam. Especially if this is mostly a street driven car.

EDIT: I didn't see the last couple of posts, looks like this stuff is covered already....

I have a 1991 s13 and just bought a 1994 mustang gt engine and tranny.
How did you/ what motor and tranny mounts are you using
Thanks
Brian

good on you for using the search! (not being sarcastic either), but the last time the o.p. was on line was 2009.

this is a neat little car however.

Looks like fun! I had a 1990 240SX and it was squirrely enough with the 2.4L 4 cylinder and 5 speed manual.
