I have run into some minor complications with my Exploder. I lift it, put on intake, exhaust, lights, tires, a sweet system and now it is just sitting outside under a tree with a blown out transmission and transfer case. That is going to set me back at least 3G’s let alone. So I was wondering If I could get a rebuilt 302 or something with the transmission on it and get it put in with as little hassle as possible. What can I do because I know its been done before, and what should I do?

Use the search function of this board and use google- a lot of 1st gen explorers have put in V8s since the chassis is the same as the ranger. There are MANY sites that sell conversions for V8 rangers. Some companies that specialize in it are James Duff and Advance Adapters.

I'm pretty sure there was a good thread on this a while back, so yeah, search for it, and it will tell you all you need to know.:D
