v8 gears???

what gears does a stock 1996 V8 Explorer have??? If I am going to get 33" tires should I get new gears with a V8???
It will be mostly a Daily Driver with a small amount of Off-Roading.

I'd bet 3.73's, but to be sure you can check your door code to be sure. Search and there is a thread that lists what codes mean what.

33's and 3.73's is doable, but I like my 4.10's much better.
