Looks like I a trip to parts store today with my handheld drill. Since 1.8 is the say the current size, what size should I be looking for?

Huh

Odds are if you have an aftermarket alt than it should have came with a overdrive pulley.just measure what you have on there now.

I still think its a fan issue.what tstat are you currently running? Also have you checked to see if there is crap, dirt or leaves between you rad and AC condenser?

Nothing in between, but I idled with the AC on today at the grocery store. Stalled out coming out, took a bit 2 tries but got it moving (temp gauge said half way) should have hooked up my sct. Needless to say it went back to normal once I started driving with no AC. I will have to side with your theory on fan, looks like the hunt for a tbird or Mkiv fan is in order. That or 2 12 or 10 inch fans in a diagonal configuration.

Measure what pulley you have.if its not a small one a smaller one will help with that.

I would look for a old Taurus surper charged fan or a regular Taurus fan.the sc one has a smaller shroud and moves more air but are rare.any other fan will require a lot of trimming.

Does anyone have a picture of the desert cooler radiator, I can't seem to find anyone who has used one.

Can't help there Phix, but it does say minor modification required.
Some guys call cutting up a frame minor, so I really don't know what that means.

That's one a stock configuration to.a efan needs even more room

From the overall sound of things the desert cooler with my Efan is going to be a modification party. I went with a new 2.25 core, a 180 tstat, and possibly a new a/c condenser sense I got all that out the way. The more I search and read it looks like a 10 or 12" pusher fan on the AC condenser is going to help the idling in a parking lot with the AC on. I also had James bump my idle to 800 to see if that helps, I was idling around 630-725 with all accessories on and seeing less than perfect charging voltage.

JD, did you need a new tune for the 180 vs the 195?

I'm obd1 so I can't just change my tunes unless I go back on the dyno...but yes I was dyno tuned with the 180* in it.
