- 2003 Ford Explorer XLS
It's been a while since I've posted here so I'll do a quick re-introduction; I've got a 2003 Ford Explorer XLS 4.0 v6 flex fuel 4x4. Last Thursday one of the connecting rods decided to come out and say "hi", split the driver's side of the motor from the head to mid-way through the oil pan. I sourced a motor from an '02 and quickly learned the wiring is different, but I sorted all that out and had the truck driving again yesterday morning. Unfortunately what I didn't do was pay enough attention to the routing of the vacuum lines, in particular the lines that run around the back of the motor. They seem to be color coded (black, grey, red, and green IIRC) so I'm hoping there is a routing diagram out on the web somewhere but I'm coming up short finding it myself. The heater controls don't work properly which is why I know there is an issue but the motor runs fine and the check engine light isn't on so I'm hoping I haven't gotten anything serious wrong. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
