Valve Body Gasket

Here is the deal i have a 94 4dr Explorer 2wd with 205,000 miles on it it runs perfect but as for the trans when i go to drive from a stop i have to let off the gas and then press the gas again for it to change from 1st to 2nd i have replaced the mod. valve i researched other causes and the valve body gasket came up i was wondering if this sounds correct to u guys cause i really dont want to tear it down and that not fix it plus im having trouble finding a valve body gasket i work at auto zone and we cant even get it and is the shift solenoid on this thing internal or external i really want to fix it cause it is way to nice to scrap

search for info on governor replacement, been there done it. Also, replace the entire governor, stalk, weight, valve, all of it. The aluminum stalk wears and the steel weight jambs on there. I tried to polish mine and had to go back in and replace it. do it once, do it right.
