vent/ air conditioning problem

My 95 ranger is blowing nothing but hot air through the vents. It appears something is stuck in the air system. This is not an air conditioner issue but something in the dash???? When I turn the temp knob when set on "Vent" all I get is hot air. Its like whatever controls the mixing of the air is stuck to the hot side. I replaced the control unit but that did not help. Any ideas?

Try sliding the control lever all the way to the right (passenger side) then go back to the vent option and it should work fine. I had a 95 Ranger and 94 Explorer that were both like that. Every time you try to use vent you will need to do this.
