Take the console apart without pulling the console itself. You will see where the air channel is, and if there is a air gap somewhere.

Awesome ,I take it there is a duct that runs to the back then

I too am having this issue but its more like when i turn on the ac vents in the rear i hear some kind of whirring like the blower is on but i feel no air. Mines a 95 xlt. ik this is a very old thread and i may not get a reply but if you have fixed this by now, i would very much love to know what could be the root cause.

if you remove he console (i assume you haev the high series consolel) check the bower in there, soemtimes it can get gummed up.... at least mine wasnt no air, but it freed up some air when i cleaned it as i was disassemblign ym interior for clean

OK I'll see what I can do about it on a day off. There's no videos I can find on that piece in particular so ig I'll just have wing it and pray I don't break something.

it aint too hard. the console is hard to remove, but follow the thread by mountaineergreen and it shoudl go fine. the console takes alot of energy to pull back, had to yank it pretty hard, and i ended up flying back a bit in the cabin 🤣
