I got the strangest problem yes this is true but hear is the story. About six months ago I got a bulldog remote starter from wall mart and installed it my self at home. About three weeks ago going around a corner the starter kicked on with out touching the ignition. I turned the ignition completely off and removed the key. Problem persisted. So I opened the hood and tried to find the problem under the hood no luck finding the problem but it stopped when I touched the starter solenoid (not hitting)(I think it might have been a coincidence). Problem came back again today did the exact same thing and it stopped after a little bit but again I was by the starter solenoid. But now the problem is getting stranger now when I have the ignition on it doesn’t have to be running and the head lights on. Every time I hit the horn I get power to the starter solenoid. Like there is a short but to me it seems like a strange combination for that.

I know but its true but I don’t know I think it might be the junky remote starter going. What do you think???

Maybe vibration or movement related. A stripped or melted wire touching something it's not supposed to?
When you wired this in, di you run any wires in areas that are close to real hot engine components?

Another possibility is someone else with a Walmart remote starter or similar RF source (garage door opener). It may not be that sophisticated.
