Very Strange problem 03- 4.0 eddie bauer

replaced the thermostat , and antifreeze engine will warm up to normal but i have NO heat inside cabin ill drive another mile then BAM heat ! today same problem but 2 miles down the road the temp gauge shot up to overheat warning buzzers going then shot back to normal WTF , any advise would greatly appreciated

Have you checked the antifreeze level to make sure it's adequate.

well funny thing is i refilled the over flow bottle 3 times , i put in 2 gallons of antifreeze .

Its not pouring out of the heater core, is it?

found it today , its the themostat housing spraying from the seam between the two halfs when i hit the gas . maybe a bad o-ring dont think the housing is cracked . good ol american, mexican plastic
