numerous things. U-joints (my vote, makes perfect sense) and wheel bearing are the most logical place to start. Then id check radius arm bushings, lift kit bolts, ect. If none of those is the culprit it may be you gears about to take a dump, or something else that is totally out there or I just cant think of.

well wheel bearin where replaced a month ago, but why would it be worse in overdrive?

true, is it really that much worse in OD? Whats th vibration like, wheres it coming from? Any and all details will help. If you really think its tranny related just pm glacier.

well i really dont know what to think, it only starts at over 65mph, and the faster i go the worse it gets, seems to be worse in overdrive, but why would the tranny make the whole truck shake, it doesnt shake bad, but enough to keep at it 65mph or under

id have to say u-joints, they would really make you notice them over 65.. Dosent explain the OD problem, but who knows. Glacier is your tranny man, ask him.

When's the last time you replaced the radius arm bushings?

vibration

how can you tell if u joints are bad?my truck does not klunk
when shifted into d or r with the bake aplied,do bad u joints not always klunk?

No, bad u-joints don't always clunk, but a lot of times they do. Usually if the slip yoke is dry, it will clunk though.

Bottom line is, in a 1st gen if you have a 65 mph+ vibration in your truck, first thing I'd do is change the radius arm bushings and have the tires rotated and balanced, and get an alignment.

If your vibration is at lower speed, first thing I'd do is look at the u-joints, then bearings, and rab's.

We had the vibration at 60 plus, ours ended up being a bad hub.

from what ive compiled from being on this forum a while..is its radius arm related..try bushings for sure..get some polys on there..and possibly replace the arm itself..did the lift kit come with one? if not get yourself a nice new one your could be cracked
