Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum so I hope I'm posting in the right section.
I bought a 99 explorer xlt a few weeks ago, and so far i'm loving it! Although, I don't know if i'm just noticing it now or if its always done this, but my gas pedal vibrates when I'm accelerating just a little bit, almost like a cell phone vibrating through a few t-shirts.
Its a small vibration, but a little annoying. I've browsed around the forum and I got the impression that this is just a "Ford thing", that most of them do this. I drove a taurus and it vibrated alot, especially on hills, but it was a rental I had for only a few days.
I don't think this is anything wrong with the car because my mechanic did a full tune up and alot of other service. Just checking up with fellow ford explorer owners if yours does this and if there is anything that can be done to dampen it a bit, i'm thinking about making a rubber dampener to put on the pedal somewhere. Thanks guys!
