I had a vibration issue at 60-70mph. The radius arm bushing were replaced yesterday. I jump on the highway today to test it and the main vibration was gone and I was thrilled. Then I turned around and going the other direction I was going over an overpass that curved to the left when all of a sudden the Explorer starts shaking violently (I don't feel it in the steering wheel). I had this problem before the bushings were replaced too but thought it was the same problem. I didn't feel the vibration on the highway when it curved right. I was thinking maybe a shock issue. The bearings were replaced a little over a year ago. Any help would be great. I've been avoiding the highway due to the vibrations and I'm really sick of stop lights although I have found a shortcut to school.

oh yeah, forgot to mention, I searched but never actually found a thread that talked about a vibration around turns like this, only straight-line vibrations.

the legendary death wobble... by money is on a misbalanced front left tire...when turing...it puts more force on this tire making the wobble more noticable...

Well, I do need new tires anyways. I just don't have the money. Is there a certain tire that gives a great ride in the first gens?

BFG all terrains 31X10.50X15 they are like $115 each....right now im sittin on 3/4 bald mud terrains i found in the woods behind my house...

Could be tire balance, alignment, bad balljoint or tie rod ends, shocks, even the wheel bearings (if not installed right they won't last long)..etc. Lots of possible causes. Before you go tossing money at it, verify that all your suspension components are in good condition, including the wheel bearings.

Did you get it re-aligned after you did the radius arm bushings?

Yes, it was re-aligned. It drives straight and stops straight, if that matters.

tru switching ur tires around.
