Anyone ever use STE Couplers? I found them online, called up the owner and talked to him for quite awhile about my 4404 and getting a new VC. He said that he has, albeit re-manufactured, basically new VC's for the BW4404 for $144.00 + shipping. A little more conversation and $159.00 later my VC is on the way.
I know what you are all thinking, it is probably one of those cheap Taiwan made VC's with the wrong type of fluid in them. Nope, these are made with the OEM spec fluid, in fact he mentioned, before I did, that if you ever find those really cheap ones made in Taiwan, to stay away from them because the fluid is the incorrect fluid and fail very quickly.
It's a small family owned business, everyone is very nice and helpful. Just wanted to let everyone know that they exist and that if you are looking for a new VC for your 4404 (or whichever other TC you have that has a VC in it) give them a call, here is a link to the website:
