Why do you guys go to the dealership for those kleenex boxes? They have to be Kleenex brand, but around here, most of the auto parts stores carry them, as do most Walgreens, Rite Aid, and CVS stores. They're nothing exotic, just the right size. I ran out of my stash a couple years ago (the wife used 20 times as many as I did) and never bothered to replenish my supply... Usually have a wad of carry out napkins stuffed in the driver's door pocket anyways.

(I said dealership because I remember being in there wandering around when we got our F150 a couple years back, and in the gift shop or whatever youd call it, they had certain boxes for certain vehicles, so I assumed they had to be specially sized boxes, rather than ones from a store lol my bad)

We find them everywhere in SoCal and/or Nevada, here's a picture with SKU (36000-25390) of what we use:

Maybe this will make it easier to find.

My S/O loves them but, if not for her, I'd find some other use for that space and wouldn't have to struggle with getting a tissue everytime I lift my coffee-cup or water-bottle. She curses her Lexus 400h for not having this feature.

Thanks for the info above about removing the CD changer in the console, mine is about to retire.

Edit: sorry, just found this thread about locating the Kleenex:

Not sure where the kleenex came from but I bought my 99 new and thats what it was for. As for the little rectangle slot next to the cup holders, i thought it held a pack of cigarettes perfect, until i quit.

I use it for my I-Pod.

I bought some "Puffs To Go" at Wallyworld and they seem to work fine.

Thank you for the info on the square. I have always believed that this console was designed for secret "Soccer Mommie" stuff as nothing seems to fit in it.

Ok..........after ALL this...........I still don't get it!!!

I look at the tissue/coin holder things on e-bay and don't see how it would fit. Do the tissues stick through the hole in the console and the coin holder is INSIDE the console (facing up)?????? Or does the coin holder part stick in that open slot......which would put the tissues inside the console????

I have a bracket right in the front of my console (inside) that the CD changer was screwed to.........does it have to come out or does that hold the tissue thing in place.

This is embarrassing but i think I need a picture of it mounted inside the console!!

The tissue box goes into the tray and the tissue hangs out of the vertical slot. The lid needs to be lifted to get to the coins .

Exactly. Put the tissues in the holder and face the box out so when the holder drops in, the tissues come through the front of the console. Change holder is on top.

It really isn't rocket science... There's only one way it'll go together and make sense...

OOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!! Now it makes sense!!

In my head I was trying to make that coin holder fit in the vertical slot.....but then the tissue holder was inside the console and sideways........and that bracket was in the way!!

Thanks...........

Those Kleenex boxes are stupidly expensive but I'm a big time allergy sufferer and have used the feature for a lot of years across three trucks. I go in to the stealership and get 10-15 boxes at a time. I only wish they were available elsewhere.

PM EF member techieman33. He rolled his Mounty in July and I remember sifting through the ditch the next day and we found his coinholder/Kleenex holder the next day. Not sure if he still has it or not.

Co-Op in Forest Lawn has them in stock @ $1.58/each right now. I grabbed 10 boxes but they still have alot in stock.

I hate having the tissues in the tray anyways, all they do is get "dust" everywhere when you pull one out it seems. Why would they even spend so much money manufacturing a spot for tissues when there are so many other things that they could've put in there?? I just seems like a waste of space if you ask me....
Ok, I'm off my soap box now haha

If you saw the tissue holder Ford put in my Mustang you would understand why I like the one in my Explorer :D
