Volfenhag speakers

No doubt- Jesus... Calm down Ford Freak- I didn't dispute the size of your penis, or your proficiency in car audio. If your reply was more along the lines of the one you posted the second time, it would have been a lot better. Wasn't the second reply full of better information that would have given someone more info than the first one where you said nothing about what you've done, what you do, but just dropped the cute names?

I didn't recommend anything- I replied with a link that had some info from people that had them. The only things I said were that I was happy with my cheap system. I once paid $2,200 for a system to be installed in my Thunderbird because the installer said it would sound incredible. It sounded no different to me. That's where I come from. I'm trying to be helpful. If you have the info, share it. In entirety. Nobody had any way of knowing by your post that you were in car audio for 20 years. Either way, keep your chest puffed out and carry on.

Junior out.

The size of my penis is none of your business but I do appreciate your fascination with it.....The OP asked for opinions and I gave mine. It is not written that I nor anyone else need to submit their age, height marital status and yrs of experience in car audio to have and express an opinion. At least I didn't read it here or anywhere else.

If I make a statement and someone has a question regarding my opinion they can ask me to elaborate. Which I have no problem at all doing so. If someone asks me my opinion on any general subject I don't go into a 20 minute dissertation on the subject unless asked to do so.

I don't buy and install audio to impress anyone. I certainly don't buy the flashy brands that get a pat on the back from the kids at the local high school. As it seems in another thread I run amps that pretty much nobody here has ever heard of. That's ok with me. As far as speakers go I test drivers using modeling software that will tell me how good it's going to perform well before it ever sees any power or I spend a dime to own it.

As far as the shop installed your $2200 system....what exactly did they do for $2200? Model numbers , brands etc....If you couldn't hear a difference you are either partially deaf ( Sorry if in fact you are) Or they have no business in hell installing or selling car audio.

The puffy chest comment made me laugh but your fascination with my body is starting to scare me.....You might need therapy ya know.

Anyway...

If you're looking to do a budget, I've seen a Pioneer CD deck bundled with 4 6.5" 2-ways at wallyworld for $89. It's a hell of a deal since the deck itself is over $119 retail. You'd have to make/buy some 6x8" to 6.5" adapters, or you could just use sheet metal screws and bung 'em in there.

Otherwise I'd say scour car audio stores for deals. I've seen older Pioneer/Kenwood 6x8's at stereo shops for some nice sale/clearance prices, and sometimes you can get last year's model of CD deck for a deal, too. If you're not too picky you can usually wind up with a modern system for not a lot of dough.

I've never even heard of Volfenhag, but from the debate, and the fact they sell on ebay for under $50 for 4, they sound like the kind of shady junk made to look nice in the box, then turn out to be poorly manufactured out of smelly plastic and pot metal with enough hazardous materials in it to poison an elephant. Even the cheezy BOSS and PYLE stuff might be better. I've done the cheap stuff before, and it's okay for people that just need stuff to kind of work, like those who enjoy talk radio and just want to replace a factory speaker that blew with one that works. But in that case, they are still better off buying a Metra/Scoshe generic OEM replacement at walmart or Autozone for $12 or something.

The Pioneer set gets my nod for what I'd do on a budget locally, or seeing what's cheap at the local stereo shops. I've got a $109 Blaupunkt deck (which now sells for $79 online) with 2-way Pioneer 6x8's I got for cheap at Circuit City, so I enjoy budget car audio quite a bit, but if you're not careful, or don't stick with brand names, you'll likely get crap.

No, it's not. But, if you have information, it would be nice to have it posted.

A good forum reply is:

I have been into car audio for the last 20 yrs and have owned and or installed almost every brand you can think of. IMHO, the Pioneer or kenwood speakers are worth a look when trying to save money. I have listened to Volfenhag and they sound like ass compared to others in the same price range.

Part of being in a forum- useful responses, like Anime's reply. Very well written, and useful- like his replies usually are. Your CVX replies were great- why go cheap here?

I'll check with you next time and make sure I get your approval. At least you approve of my CVX response.

Enough already.....No harm no foul Mr Dirt.

Not the point- you know what I meant.

volfenfang is decent had them in my dads truck at one point. but upgraded that later. its good if your just listening to music and not looking for bass and stuff

I'm not sure if you can still find them but there were a ton of ford oem speakers floating around the net for $5 each or something. A friend of mine bought a bunch of them and they sound great even with people throwing a ton of power at them. As far as we could tell they were used in Lincolns.

i had a Sub form them when i had my focus it was good for the money
