Finally met up with Kevin, Kevlar7R today. We joined up with my friend Christian and ran the Vulture Mine Trail and China Dam trail, both outside of Wickenburg, AZ.

The weather was great. The trail was pretty cool taking us into some beautiful desert terrain loaded with saguaros and jumping cholla. I would definitely like to do some camping back there as it's only 15 miles from our house.

Here are my pics and videos:

Wow Rick, you got those up quick!

Had a great time and it was good to meet you. My truck looks tiny next to the great pumpkin!

Looks like a good time and an interesting area. I had to look up China Dam, found this:

History: China Dam was built on Humbug Creek by the Chinese to divert water to a hydraulic mining operation downstream from the dam - the remains of this mine are now under Lake Pleasant.
The canal was gravity fed from the China dam and is still visible in places. We will follow this canal where two tunnels have been cut through the hill side. If they are not flooded we will be able to enter the tunnels and come out the other side. We then will turn back up Humbug creek and head back to our vehicles.
