My days of hard thumpin' are behind me but I still want a little bump. I need the cargo area for my riding gear. We also go to the drive-in and use the cargo place to sit. Sometimes I haul my daughter's quad in the back, too. I had a car with 2 12"s in it before. That was ok because it had such a huge trunk...a Buick Regal Grand National look-alike. I don't really want something I have to take in and out all the time.

Could I mount some small bass tubes on top of the rear quarter panels...like right beside the rear windows? Are the built in amp ones any good or would I use an amp and 2 auxiliary powered woofer tubes?

Does anyone have small subs that will fit under the seats?

Would component speakers be the way to go? I had them in my Ranger and they were nice...bumped a little.

I just want some bass without loosing any of the space! I need the rear seats to fold down, also.

I have a Pioneer head unit...can't remember how many watts x 4. I need to jam my Metallica and some old Beasty Boys and my daughter's pop and country. Not any cRap! :p

ANY SUGGESTIONS ARE WELCOME! Thanks!

How about an MTX or JL Stealth setup... They come in both 10" and 8" I believe... You can get ones that are powered and ones that you'll need to use an amp for.

both will go in the right side pocket and replace that cargo net thing. this is what the MTX thunderform looks like. you can get them 8" or 10" and with or without a built-in amp. i would probably recommend the 10" with built-in amp. check e-bay.

The MTX is more solid and stiff than the Q-logic but not sure how bad that is. Q-Logic is ABS plastic and MTX is more than that (??) and does not flex. My MTX 10" with 300 rms can make the mirror shake depending on the music.

i thoiught about doing that one, but have 0 experience building a box and cant justofy spending 200 bucks to have someone build it (i would want it for a 12"). i'm still contemplating the MTX because i have herad the 6000s in action and like how they sound (which suprises me because i have always preferred pioneer)
