Hey guys and s, i have a 96 and would like to upgrade the factory fogs with somthing that would fit there but give bettery lighting, any sugestions, also what bulbs are in the factory slots and can i upgrade mabey just the fog bulbs themselves?????

If you want more light out of the stock fog location, I would recommend finding some Hella, PIAA, or Pilot lamps that are the same size as the stockers and putting them in that slot. IMHO, the stock fogs suck: I haven't used mine for 2 years and got some Pilots. To answer your question, the stock fogs use 899 bulbs I think. PIAA might have some superwhite replacements, but you might as well get new lamps. Also, don't try to use factory wiring with new lamps, the new lights should come with new wiring and stuff. I would recommend any of the above brands. Pilots are good quality budget lights that come in a complete kit. Hella's are a bit more expensive and hard to install (from what I hear). PIAA's are expensive, but easy to install and high quality.

I haven't had any problems with my Pilots, but many here swear by PIAA.

The factory bulbs are 899's. There are a few posts regarding these. I've been looking for replacement bulbs. There are no good 899's, They're only 27 or 35 watts. I just saw some 885's at pepboys that look the same, but are 50 watts. They only had one left, so I got it and pluged it in. It looked quite a bit brighter in the day lite. I haven't had the chance to test it at nite, but I wanna get a match before I compare. I'm also gonna start looking for some "super" 885's or something that may be more toward the PIAA super whites.
