want to throw in some lift blocks for a quick cheap lift

so i wanted to throw in some lifting blocks for a short thrill until i can afford a real lift kit. i have a 94 x but i noticed that the leaf springs are under the rear axle instead of over. what in the heck do i do?

SOA - everyones doing em - join in :D
Use the search feature of the board and type in "SOA" - you'll find lots of info.

Note that the Ford-8.8 axle has tubes that are 3.25" outside diameter and most spring perches you'll find are 3.00" outside diameter - so obviously you'll have to take a grinder to the spring perches. I used Mopar perches from Summit Racing - item DCC-4120074 .

Do a search, these are covered in DETAIL on this forum.
Blocks on your rear will lover the truck.
A spring over conversion like IZwack suggested will get you 4.5" of lift, which is too much for your application, it would require a dro pbracket lift kit up front to match. Sounds to me like the shackles and spring seats are what you are looking for.
